The best James Bond....?

Always an interesting discussion point! And why???

Have to admit I think Roger Moore suited the role perfectly - can't put my finger on why, though...

I gotta say Sean Connery as he kinda summed up Bond for me, the suaveness, a splash of humour and you know he would kick the bad guys ass and get the chick at the end.

BUT Daniel Craig is shaping up to be seriously good. He doesnt have that campness that Brosnan was set on imitating Roger Moore for. You can take Craig seriously in a fight, behind the wheel of an Aston, with a sub-machine gun and wooing the lovely Eva Green in Casino Royale. I think he's gonna continue along this line, making him the ideal Bond, although he cant crack wise like the previous ones!

Maybe thats why he never smiles when he gets his picture taken! Either way, its too early to say, but the future looks bright...

Bein a woman, I can tell you that Craig is the hottest, that's enough to win my vote ;)

Sean Connery was the best Bond. He had the requisite charisma and got the girl every time.

I always liked the early Roger Moore. His skill and class made him so interesting. The man was like a mercenary working for her majesties secret service, but you would never know that based on Moore's behavior or appearence. He was really good in Live and Let Die, and The Man with the Golden Gun. He stayed around too long, and you really tell in his last few movies.

I am just about to upload an article about Mr. Sean Connery - his route to 007, I'll post the link soon!

I think the 'getting the girl every time' trait is quite a common theme amongst all the bond films!!

He did have a certain charisma and persona about him did just seem to click with the role though, I have to agree with you on that one!

That would be Pierce Brosnan. Absolutely great actor, no doubt about that.

Pierce Brosnan was the best bond. Now I'm not a big bond fan.My husband is thoough.I found him pompous, arrogant and a womanizer. I just think Pierce has the right charisma and look for the part.

I love Sean Connery and he's a close second.

I have to say Brosnan never convinced me. Ever. Its like he had some of the fun that Moore's Bond had, some of the campness, cheesiness, but none of the coolness or kick-ass ability that Connery and Craig have shown. I'm gonna go all out and say that Bond went from Connery to Craig and you might aswell forget most of what happened inbetween.

Connery brought him in, Craig will take him out

I did vote here for Mr Connery, although Roger Moore comes in at a close second. They both encompass for me what the character is about. The new bonds are not as near as good as the older ones, but that could also have something to do with the film content itself.
