CUT

Postby CUTtheMOVIE on Tue Feb 02, 2010 5:48 pm

Our feature film CUT comes out this month on DVD in the UK. To our knowledge it is the first single take horror movie ever. Thats right, we filmed the entire thing in one single steady cam shot! The film stars Zach Galligan (Gremlins 1 &2), Dominic Burns, Simon Phillips and a whole host of other up and coming British actors and actresses, including Danielle Lloyd.

I'd love to know what everyone thinks of the concept, and if they like the sound of CUT! I'm a big fan of Hitchcocks 'Rope' and was fascinated by 'Russian Ark', so personally I couldn't wait to get involved with the project. I've linked the trailer below for everyone - this does have lots of cuts in it!

Sweird, I'd been thinking about Zach Galligan, what with all this recent talk of Gremlines 3D

Interesting concept, makes me wonder if the gimmick of shooting the entire movie in one shot can compensate for the 'many' benefits of editing. I'd be interested to watch and see.
How widely is the DVD being released (can I find it on Amazon?)

Didn't Joe Wright and Ikea Knightly do a short called Cut as well?

Yeah you can pre-order it on amazon now. It will also be available in HMV nationwide upon release. We asked Zach about Gremlins 3D, and so far, we doesn't know anything! But says that he didn't know about Gremlins 2 until 3 months before shooting.

I have to say, I love Gremlins 2. A completely different beast to 'Gremlins' but just so freakin funny. Will be interested to see Cut.
