Has anybody heard of it? or even read the book?
I read the book which is called The Winter of Frankie Machine by Don Winslow without knowing that Scorsese was working on a film adaptation starring Robert De Niro. When I found out that this was happening, I was ecstatic! The book is awesome and I trust Scorsese and De Niro enough to predict that they'll produce something worthy. I recommend reading the book because the film's release is in the semi-distant future, so plenty of time to indulge :)
The plot concerns a retired hitman whose past threatens to dismantle his livelihood, someone wants him dead and he must find out who before whoever someone is lodges a bullet in his skull.
