WHATEVER HAPPENED TO DR PETER TURCAN?

Postby keedor on Thu Feb 04, 2010 12:26 am

Whatever happened to the computer wargames designer, DR PETER TURCAN?

I remember avidly playing some of his "Battlescapes" games in the late 1980's on the Amiga 500 (namely WATERLOO and AUSTERLITZ), and he later created the "Seascapes" games, DREADNOUGHTS and MIDWAY.

Since then, though, he appears to have completely disappeared off the map!

LOL, I remeber Waterloo from the Amiga 500 too, but remember North & South as well. How has that not made it onto Xbox Live or onto an iPod/iPhone App yet?

As for the good doctor, here is a list of his credits I found on Google, looks like he's remained active in games development on and off until very recently:
Band of Bugs (2007), NinjaBee
Gyruss (2007), Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
Jetpac Refuelled (2007), Microsoft Games Studios
Rush'n Attack (2007), Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
Undertow (2007), Chair Entertainment Group
Microsoft Flight Simulator X (2006), Microsoft Games Studios
Austerlitz (1989), Mirrorsoft Ltd., Personal Software Services
Waterloo (1989), Strategic Simulations, Inc.
Computer Scrabble (1983), Sinclair Research Ltd.
